Musgrave named Northern Ireland Company of the Year

Musgrave has been named Northern Ireland Company of the Year by Business in the Community - for our excellence in incorporating responsible business practises into our commercial activities.

The award was presented at a prestigious gala event held to showcase the winners in the Business in the Community Regional Recognition Awards.

The Company of the Year accolade recognised our positive impacts across the community, environment and the workplace, through:

• Partnerships with local charity Action Cancer, the Best Kept Awards and the Department of the Environments cycling Proficiency Scheme.

• A focused environmental programme including the introduction of double deck trailers, biodegradable bags, ‘Bag for Life’ and substantial increases in waste recycling.

• Progressive HR policies underpinning a commitment to realising proper work-life balance.

The judges particularly highlighted the level of engagement which MSVC has with our retail partners across a wide range of community and environmental initiatives, and our ability to jointly deliver in a way which is making a real difference to communities and people throughout Northern Ireland.

In winning this award we came out ahead of a number of high profile finalists including Tesco, British Telecom, Northern Bank, Ulster Bank and Phoenix Natural Gas.
